Beads to Beautiful

In this hands-on progressive class, you will learn and practice a range of beading and jewelry making and will create unique jewelry for yourself or someone else. Materials needed: Basic jewelry making kit, 2-3 strands of beads of your choice, .08 elastic thread, jewelry wire, head/eye pins, crimp tubes/beads, crimp cover beads, magnetic or lobster clasps & jump rings.

You will learn some basic stitches i.e. single crochet, double crochet and half double crochet and will be well on your way to making a scarf by the end of the course. Materials needed: I hook (preferably metal) and 1 skein of light colored acrylic yarn.

Drawing (Beginner)

This course is for those with little or no experience and will help you understand and build fundamental drawing skills. Weekly assignments for critiquing. Individual attention provided to each student. Students provide their own materials. A sketch pad and pencil are required. Intermediate Knitting

Paint a Masterpiece a Day

From DaVinci’s classical style Mona Lisa to Andy Warhol’s Pop Art portraits and everything in between, learn and apply the painting techniques of the masters. Recreate a different masterpiece in each session, using modern art supplies. All works will be created on canvas of canvas board using acrylic paint. This course is a cooperative offering of the Coastal Arts Guild of CT and Stratford Continuing Education.
