Acting: Scene Study

In this class you will explore the dynamics of acting with a scene partner. We will do warm up exercises and explore the fun and exciting art of acting in a scene. You will learn how to identify the reason your character is in this scene, within the play at this moment. No experience needed.

Latin Dance Class (Beginner)

This class in an introduction to the principles of authentic Latin dancing. The class is focused around basic body rhythms inherent in Merengue, Bachata and Cha-Cha-Cha. We will cover the fundamentals of leading and following, as well as introduce you to dance patterns for each Latin dance style. No dance experience is required.

Salsa (Beginner)

Calendar Sep 25, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks
The beginner Salsa class introduces you to the rhythm and timing of the music, as well as to technique in leading and following. You will learn basic footwork, dance positions and connections between partners. We will teach you fun and easy dance patterns that include single right turns, single left turns, cross body leads, back breaks, and ladies 1½ right and left turns. No dance experience is required.

The Ukulele Club (Advanced Beg.)

Calendar Nov 1, 2018 at 7 pm, runs for 4 weeks

This is for Ukulele enthusiasts who can play a dozen basic chords, handle transitions between those chords and who wish to take their playing to the next level. Participants will expand their knowledge of chords, fingering exercises and strum patterns. We will work on 12 songs. Bring a tuned soprano, concert or tenor ukulele to class. A battery operated clip-on Snark type tuner or smartphone app for ukulele tuning is suggested. This workshop’s unique design enables students to take it multiple times to master core skills. For participants 18 years old or up with core skills who have taken the Beginner Level Club workshop multiple times.

We’ll work on chords, strumming patterns, and exercises. Learn to play 12 songs. Bring a tuned soprano, concert or tenor ukulele to class.
